Interdisciplinary and International Orientation
CROMA has an international and interdisciplinary orientation. The journal encourages submissions from different geographical regions and institutional traditions. Research comparing public, private and non-profit organizations across countries is especially welcome.
Submissions prepared by international or cross-sector teams are encouraged where authorship reflects genuine scholarly contribution. The journal particularly values studies combining theoretical analysis with evidence-based practical perspectives.
The journal does not restrict submissions to any single research tradition. Quantitative, qualitative and mixed-method approaches are welcome, provided that the research design, data sources, analytical procedures and limitations are clearly explained.
Peer-Review Process
All research manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment. The editorial office examines whether the submission:
- falls within the journal’s aim and scope;
- follows the author guidelines;
- demonstrates sufficient originality;
- meets basic academic and ethical standards;
- contains an appropriate research design;
- provides a meaningful contribution to knowledge;
- complies with the journal’s publication policies.
Manuscripts that successfully pass editorial screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers through a double-blind peer-review process. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other as far as practicable.
If revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript together with a structured response explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed. When an author does not accept a recommendation, a clear and academically reasoned explanation must be provided.
The final decision to accept, request further revision or reject a manuscript rests with the responsible editor.
